VEB.RF to help Grodno Azot acquire Russian rail cars
GRODNO, 28 April (BelTA) — VEB.RF will finance the supply of Russian rail cars for Grodno Azot. The agreement was signed in Grodno during a visit of Chairman of the Russian state development corporation VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov to the Grodno Azot chemical company on 28 April, BelTA has learned.
OOO BelVEBleasing (part of VEB.RF) will finance the acquisition of 440 Russian-made railway cars for Grodno Azot in the amount of about RUB3 billion on leasing terms. The funds will be provided by the Russian Export Center Group under the guarantees of VEB.RF. The term of the lease agreement is nine years.
Upgrading the transport and logistics fleet of Grodno Azot, the largest Belarusian chemical enterprise, will contribute to increasing export and its diversification. This will also help expand the geography of partner countries and build optimal logistics routes in today’s difficult conditions, which, in turn, will help the company to address the strategic issues of sustainable development.
OOO BelVEBleasing is a leasing organization established in 2018 with the participation of VEB.RF and Bank BelVEB. The main line of business is leasing financing of high-tech equipment produced in the Russian Federation.
