Szijjarto: Sanctions imposed against Belarus hurt the EU economy more

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) — The sanctions against Belarus are more painful for the economy of the European Union, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto said at the Belarusian-Hungarian economic forum in Budapest on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

According to Peter Szijjarto, Belarus and Hungary are developing cooperation within certain limits, set by the sanctions imposed against Belarus.

“The Hungarian point of view on sanctions is obvious: sanctions lead to nothing. They do not contribute to bring us closer to peace. Moreover, these sanctions are more painful for European economies than for those against whom they have been imposed,” the Hungarian minister of foreign affairs said.
