GRODNO, 28 April (BelTA) — The sanctions will not interfere with VEB.RF’s investment plans in the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Russian state development corporation VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov said during a meeting at the Grodno Azot chemical company in Grodno, BelTA has learned.
«It is a great honor for us to visit Grodno. We hope that the sanctions that have been imposed on our Belarusian bank or on VEB itself will not interfere with our plans to invest in industrial enterprises both in Russia and Belarus. Indeed, we have serious plans for new integration cooperation projects,» said the chairman of VEB.RF.
He added: «Today we can plan joint competencies, build up new ones. We have good examples among Russian industrial enterprises, Belarusian ones. I believe that we have great opportunities. We have capital for this. The liquidity market in the Russian Federation is currently quite positive, despite the sanctions.”
