MFA: Belarus and China fully share approaches to protecting sovereignty
MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) — Belarus and China have consistently provided mutual support to each other on key issues and fully share approaches to protecting sovereignty, Deputy Head of the Asia, Australia and Oceania Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vadim Senyuta said at the roundtable to discuss “A unique path of success for all: China’s Global Civilization Initiative” on 27 April, BelTA has learned.
“For three decades, Belarus and China have been closely and effectively cooperating within the framework of international organizations. Our countries have always supported each other on key issues, and fully share the approaches to the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity, the formation of a multipolar global system,” Vadim Senyuta said. “An important unifying factor of Belarusian-Chinese interaction in the world arena is the similarity of approaches to international affairs in the global and regional dimensions.”
“Together with our Chinese colleagues, we are working to strengthen the international system, the core of which is the United Nations, adhere to the basic norms of international relations based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and continue to coordinate positions on topical issues of the international and regional agenda in a timely manner. New challenges dictate the need to take joint steps,” the representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
