Governor hails successes in cooperation between Belarus, St. Petersburg

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) — Belarus and St. Petersburg have achieved great successes in industrial cooperation, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov told media following the 13th meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and St. Petersburg in Minsk on 20 April, BelTA has learned.
«We complement each other. We have achieved significant successes in the field of industrial cooperation,» Alexander Beglov said. “Today, we are focused on making our industries technologically independent from other suppliers, who are primarily interested in politics rather than economics. Belarusian partners are reliable. Belarusian products that we are supplied with are of very high quality.»
The parties also discussed issues in the field of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism, education, science, etc. “We are not only partners, but fraternal peoples who help each other, especially in the times of turbulence like today,» the governor emphasized. “We understand and support each other. The plans that we have outlined will be implemented in full.»
