Broad choice, good sales of Belarusian goods on domestic market preserved

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – A broad choice of products has been preserved and the share of Belarusian goods in sales has been increased. Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Aleksei Bogdanov mentioned it during the ceremony held to unveil an updated national honor wall in Minsk ahead of Labor Day celebrations, BelTA has learned.
Aleksei Bogdanov said: “It is a great honor for the industry to see our organizations on the national honor wall. Six trade enterprises have been granted this honor this year. And for the entire year we try to work hard to raise the standard of service to the public.”
The official went on saying: “In these complicated times we’ve managed to preserve the broad choice of products and increase the share of domestic goods in sales. This indicator grew by 1.7% last year. We preserved the positive trend in Q1 2023 and the share of goods of Belarusian make in retail sales rose to 2.8%. On the whole, we will try to continue working in this manner and raising service standards.”
As many as 64 winners have been put on the national honor wall in recognition of last year’s performance. Those include eight regions and 56 organizations. The winning districts, cities, and urban districts include: Kamenets District and Luninets District, the city of Brest, and Brest’s Leninsky District in Brest Oblast; Ostrovets District and Dyatlovo District in Grodno Oblast; Nesvizh District and Minsk’s Tsentralny District in Minsk Oblast.
The winning organizations include legal persons and their branches of all types of ownership. Winners can be found in the manufacturing sector, agriculture and fisheries, civil engineering, forestry as well as in the sphere of services – communications and telecommunications, trade, education, science, healthcare, social services, transport, and tourism.
