Belarusian Parliament Speaker attends CIS IPA spring session in St. Petersburg
MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) — The spring session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly has opened in St. Petersburg. The Belarusian delegation includes Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic, member of the CIS IPA Council Natalya Kochanova (head of the delegation), members of the Council of the Republic Aleksandr Karpitsky, Sergei Rachkov and Felix Yashkov, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of parliament.
Today, the Tauride Palace will host meetings of the joint commission at the CIS IPA on harmonization of legislation in security and countering new threats, the CIS IPA Standing Commission on Defense and Security, the CIS IPA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation and the CIS IPA Standing Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights and also a meeting of the CIS IPA Council with the participation of the heads of parliamentary delegations of the CIS countries.
