Belarus, China to develop cooperation in machine tool industry

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) — Belarus and China will develop cooperation in the machine tool industry. The agreement was reached following the visit of a delegation from the Belarusian Industry Ministry headed by Deputy Minister Aleksandr Yefimov to China, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.
Members of the delegation comprising representatives of Institute Belorgstankinprom paid a visit to a number of Chinese machine tool companies and got familiar with the range of products. During the meetings the parties expressed their interest in developing mutually beneficial contacts. The discussion of cooperation continued during the visit to the international exhibition of machine tools and machine equipment CIMT 2023 in Beijing.
Talks were held between the Belarusian Industry Ministry and the China National Machine Building Corporation Sinomach on cooperation in a wide range of areas, including agricultural machinery and metallurgy.
“China is Belarus’ main strategic partner among the far away countries. The recent state visit of the Belarusian president to China created the most favorable conditions for mutually beneficial bilateral contacts. These agreements need to be filled with concrete content. The visit of the delegation of the Belarusian Industry Ministry to China demonstrated high interest and readiness of our Chinese partners to cooperate. Now it is time to work out mechanisms for the implementation of joint projects,” Aleksandr Yefimov said.
